Kulex® series of filaments are based on unique Poly Butylene Terephthalate resin with proprietary additives to enhance its “Flexibility & Processability”. It’s unique cross section and properties help the brush makers for“Value brushes” with various formulations that gives assured results. Paint pick-up and ease of painting are the major focus of these filaments.
Each of the Kulex® series Paintbrush Filaments is “Level Filaments” hence only mechanical flagging, Chemical Tipping, or Mechanical Tipping can be done for the desired finish. These filaments are made with unique stiffness hence mixing with other DuPont filaments is a possibility.
Kulex® H refers to Hexalocular Filaments, that means, 6 scientifically designed holes inside the filaments to reduce the weight of the brushes that also “improves paint pick-up” when processed on a “Tipping & flagging machine” that produces “Micro Bristles. These filaments are produced for mixing with “Chemically tipped Kulex® CT Filaments”
Tynex® refers to Solid Round filaments, they are made from special polymers that can be “Tipped & Flagged” using special machines that ensure “Superior painting performance” especially with enamel paints. Tynex® always the choice of “Professional Painters”.
Kulex ® CT refers to Round Level Filaments “Chemically Tipped” with different tapering ratios to suit various mixing formulations. Orel®/ Kulex® CT is one of the famous mixture aimed to replace “Bristle mixes” to cater to the popular brush market.
Generally these filaments are used independently are in combination with other DuPont Filaments Viz. Tynex®, Orel®, Kulex® based on the “Viscosity of the Paint”, “Painting Practice” and “Painting Surface” apart from economic considerations. Formulation is the key for the “Most successful professional Paintbrushes” of the world.
